Spoken by 70 percent of all Chinese speakers around the world, Mandarin is undeniably the most popular Chinese dialect. If you are intrigued with the language or just want to be proficient enough to order Chinese food, this adult beginner's course is for you! Learn the basics of the language in a fun and welcoming environment. Engage in conversational dialogues each week as the class gets introduced to real-world examples from Chinese culture. Our instructor, Jade Wu, is certified with both TCSOL and TESOL, with an additional teaching certificate from Teachers College. She's the author of Learn to Speak Cantonese 1 and has also taught classes in both Cantonese and Taishanese.

Prerequisite: CEMC Mandarin Beginner Class, OR basic knowledge of Pinyin and greetings (personal pronouns, interrogative pronouns and common verbs)
